I attended the premier of this film at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, Oregon, it was truly an inspiring film. Beautifully crafted and shot, the film documents Christopher Swains, swim from the Source of the Columbia River to the Pacific Ocean in an effort to bring awareness to the pollution that has wreaked havoc upon the river and people who have relied upon it as a means of survival for a very long time. One of my favorite scenes has Christopher explaining his mission to a group of school children: "It's like I'm a kid who has had my tricycle broken and it still hasn't been fixed in 30 years. I'm fed up with waiting." It was a thrill to be in an audience full of people who were involved in the film and experience their excitement as it played out. Throughout the film I felt as if I was there on the journey with Christopher up until the ultimate breathtaking scene when he reaches the Pacific Ocean.
